Max Voorhoeve: Mental Health Social Worker

My name is Max, and I am an accredited mental health social worker with extensive experience working in mental health.

Therapy

I work with young people and adults and have a particular passion for supporting people who have experienced trauma and complex trauma. I find it a privilege to be able to support someone through what is often a very difficult time. I also really enjoy supporting people with their perinatal/postnatal mental health both in terms of addressing struggles and building wellbeing and confidence.

My practice is always evidence based and trauma informed and I approach therapy with an integrative and client-centered approach focusing on a strengths based perspective. I strive to create a safe and welcoming space for my clients to explore their thoughts and emotions and to collaboratively work towards their goals. Supervision

I offer supervision for social work students, new social work graduates, and experienced social workers, with a focus on reflective practice and building your mental health expertise while keeping in mind the AASW pratice standards for social workers. I also provide supervision to social workers who are working towards their mental health accreditation through AASW and require regular supervision with an AASW mental health accredited supervisor. I specialize in trauma-informed care and have a particular passion for supporting individuals with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more.
