Felicity Duncan: Registered Psychologist

I am a Registered Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a Member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults, in non-government and private practice settings. Within these roles I have worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds, and have provided therapeutic support to individuals who have experienced mental health related challenges, complex and developmental trauma, and who are neurodivergent.

My work is guided by both trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming principles, and I am committed to delivering support tailored to each unique individual. I aim to provide a safe therapeutic space to work collaboratively, and strongly believe in identifying and valuing each individual person’s strengths. My practice draws upon various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

In addition to therapy, I provide cognitive and educational assessments across the lifespan, and offer assessments to support individuals in exploring potential neurodivergence (including Autism and ADHD assessments). I bring awareness of the challenges that late identified neurodivergent individuals may experience, and value the opportunity to support each person in exploring and understanding their identity.

My areas of interest and experience across the lifespan include:

  • Mood Disorders (including Depression)
  • Anxiety Disorders
  • Autism and ADHD
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, complex and developmental trauma
  • Attachment concerns
  • Intellectual Disability and learning difficulties
  • Identity and self-esteem
  • Adjustment and life changes
  • Grief and loss
  • Emotion regulation and stress management
