Tracey Jane: Principal Clinical Psychologist & Director

I am the Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Inspired Psychology and have been working in private practice for over 18 years. As the founder of the practice, I lead clinical direction and provide support to a growing team of amazing clinicians across our two locations. I am registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Board Approved as a Supervisor.

With extensive experience in both the public and private sectors, I work with children, young people, adults and families. My particular clinical passion lies in supporting individuals who have experienced complex and developmental trauma across the lifespan. I am especially committed to working with children and young people in out-of-home care and continue to partner closely with care teams and agencies in this space.

My therapeutic approach is warm, authentic, and grounded in compassion. I value the power of the therapeutic relationship and believe in the potential for meaningful change. My work is informed by a range of evidence-based models including sensorimotor psychotherapy, EMDR, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment theory, neuropsychological frameworks, schema therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.

I take a collaborative and systemic lens to practice, working not only with individuals but also with the networks that support them—families, carers, and professionals—particularly in trauma-informed care.

Supervision & Professional Support

As a Board Approved Supervisor, I provide clinical supervision to provisional, early-career, and established psychologists, including supervision towards clinical endorsement. I also offer reflective and trauma-informed supervision to professionals in related fields who support mental health and wellbeing across the lifespan.

Consultation & Collaboration

I have a long-standing commitment to working alongside care teams supporting children and adolescents in out-of-home care. My consultancy work focuses on building capacity within care systems to respond to trauma through relational, strengths-based, and brain-informed approaches.

I regularly deliver training to professionals, carers, and organisations in the following areas:
