Anna O’Grady: Registered Psychologist
I am a Registered Psychologist (Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency) holding a Masters degree in Counselling. I have had 15 years’ experience working within public and private organisations supporting clients across the lifespan.
During my career, I have become proficient in a range of contemporary evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Therapy. In addition, I enjoy incorporating current approaches within Neuroscience and Positive Psychology into my practice. I am experienced in working with adults in private practice and enjoy supporting clients from 16 years of age who may be experiencing a broad range of life challenges and mental health concerns.
Working from a strength’s-based perspective, I value maintaining a strong therapeutic relationship and tailor my therapeutic approach according to my clients’ individual needs and personality. I relate to my clients with compassion, acceptance, safety and curiosity.
